Product Description
Sucralfate an anti-ulcer prescription medication useful for the treatment and prevention of oral, esophagus, stomach, and intestinal ulcers in dogs and cats. It is often thought of as a "bandage" for the GI tract and provides a coating over ulcers in the GI tract which is helps prevent future damage and helps healing. Stomach ulcers and erosions are relatively common complications of kidney failure, treatment with steroids, administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and primary diseases of the stomach. Frequently, drug therapy is necessary to heal ulcers and prevent further problems.
