Product Description
Nystatin Powder is an antifungal medication that can be used topically on dogs to treat a variety of infections and skin conditions, including:
Ear infections: Nystatin can be used to treat acute otitis externa (ear inflammation or infection) and some chronic ear problems.
Skin infections: Nystatin can be used to treat fungal infections, including interdigital cysts (infections between the toes) and anal gland infections.
Warnings: Nystatin is available as a topical cream or ointment. Some serious side effects of Nystatin include:
- Loss of appetite
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Sudden hearing loss
- Worsening ear pain
- Head tilt
- Mouth sores
- Worsening lesions
- Increased thirst
- More frequent urination
Nystatin should not be used on pets that are allergic to it or that have tuberculosis infections of the skin or a ruptured ear drum
