Product Description
Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that is anti-inflammatory (at lower doses) and immunosuppressive at higher doses. It is often used to treat other conditions such as blood disorders, certain autoimmune disorders, spinal cord injuries, brain swelling as well as other conditions.
Additional information:
- Do not discontinue the drug on your own without first talking with your veterinarian
- May be given with food (preferred way) or without food. If your animal vomits or acts sick after getting it on an empty stomach, give with food or small treat to see if this helps. If vomiting continues, contact your veterinarian.
- Many side effects, especially when used long term
- In dogs, stomach or intestinal ulcers, perforation or bleeding can occur. If your dogs stops eating, or you notice a high fever, black tarry stools or bloody vomit, contact your veterinarian right away
Storage/Stability:
- Dexamethasone is heat liable and should be stored at room temperature.
