Product Description
Deramaxx (deracoxib) is a non-narcotic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug of the coxib class. It is indicated for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic and dental surgery and for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs.
Additional information:
- Medication can be given with or without food may reduce the chances for stomach problems. If animal vomits or acts sick after getting it on an empty stomach, give with food or small treat to see if this helps. If vomiting continues, contact your veterinarian. Fresh water should always be available.
- Periodic lab test to check for liver and kidney side effects are required
- Other drugs for pain and inflammation should not be used with this medication without the approval of the veterinarian.
- Most dogs tolerate this deracoxib well, but rarely some will develop ulcer or serious kidney and liver problems. Watch for these signs such as: decreased appetite, vomiting, changes in bowel movements, changes in behavior or activity levels, weakness, seizures, aggression, yellowing gums, skin, or whites of the eye, changes in drinking habits or urination habits.
Storage/Stability:
- Chewable tablets for dogs should be stored at room temperature between 59-86°F
