Product Description
Cephalexin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic medication prescribed by veterinarians to treat bacterial infections of the skin, urinary tract, bone, upper respiratory tract, joints as well as other areas of your dog's body. The oral suspension should be kept in the refrigerator and any unused portion should be discarded after 14 days. Shake well before use.
Additional information:
- Can be given with or without food, but gastrointestinal side effects might be prevented if given with food.
- Most common side effects are diarrhea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. Contact veterinarian if animal develops severe vomiting/diarrhea or rash/itching.
- Be sure to give as long as veterinarian has prescribed, even if your animal seems better.
- Cephalosporin antibiotics have an odor that resembles cat urine, but this is normal.
Storage/Stability:
- Cephalexin oral suspension once reconstituted is stable for 2 weeks when refrigerated
