Product Description
Benazepril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that is commonly used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure and various types of kidney diseases in dogs and cats. This medication blocks the ACE which then helps your pet's blood vessels to relax and dilate thus lowering blood pressure. It can be given alone but is more often used in conjunction with other medications when treating heart failure.
Additional information:
- Usually well tolerated, but vomiting and diarrhea can occur.
- Give with food if vomiting or lack of appetite becomes a problem
- Very important to give benazepril as prescribed. Do not stop or reduce dosage without veterinarian's guidance.
Storage/Stability:
- Store benazepril tablets at room temperature.
