Product Description
Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections in dogs, cats, and some smaller mammals. It is well absorbed orally and generally needs to be given just once a day. This drug is not FDA-approved for use in animals; however, it commonly is prescribed by veterinarians to treat bacterial infections for a wide variety of animals and is considered accepted practice.
Additional information:
- Do not refrigerate oral suspension once reconstituted and shake well before each use.
- Preferably give suspension to an animal with an empty stomach.
- Discard any unused oral suspension after 10 days.
- Contact veterinarian if animal develops sever diarrhea, vomiting, or if condition deteriorates after beginning therapy.
Storage/Stability:
- Store dry powder or reconstituted product at room temperature.
- After reconstitution the product may be stored at room temperature for 10 days and then discarded.
